Yes, I am interested in resolving the matter. Truth be told, the fault lies with Ironyak - it was him (or her) refusing to allow canon information on the wiki, so... in that situation, I was in the right...
Okay, let's say I agreed fully with you. I haven't checked out your discussion, so what canon Ironyak1 supposedly removed is unknown to me. But for the sake of discussion, let's say I did. That's beside the point. Ironyak1 being in the right or not had nothing to do with your ban.
Now, give it your best shot. What do you think brought about your stoppage?
The situation - since you’re unaware - was that I added a Slytherin infobox to Sirius’s parents but there was no “proof” they were definitely in Slytherin apparently, except - oh wait! Sirius’s words of his whole family in Slytherin and Slughorn saying he got all Blacks except Regulus - there was! But Ironyak and Seth refused to accept that since the books didn’t say they were DEFINITELY in Slytherin (except, as I’ve proven, they WERE!) and, thanks to Ironyak constantly removing the information, it went into an edit war and Seth sided with the wrong one...
You being banned had nothing to do with your edit war. Seth mentioned edit warring as a general example of the factors that had him conclude it was best to block you, but it played a very, very small part in it. I would like you to try again. What else do you imagine could have you banned?
First of all - you’d need to join the discord on this wiki, I believe... but don’t quote me on that...
Simple - the edit warring (of which Ironyak is to blame!) made me lose my temper and snap at them. I don’t regret that because the information I was adding was correct. I would ask for an apology from Ironyak (since them removing the information caused all this, but I know I’ll never get one.)
The problem isn't that either you or Ironyak1 is right or wrong, the problem is that when you lose your cool, you are disrespectful and impertinent. And if you shall have any hope of ever getting back into the wiki, you need to work on that. Which I am happy to lend you a hand with, if you would like me to or feel thee is anything I can do in this regard.
I clicked on the discord ad, but it didn't show me any group. You need to add me manually.
The point is this - yes, I did lose my cool. But I only lost my cool because Ironyak removed canon information and Seth sided with the wrong person. So, the ones that caused the problems were the higher ups themselves.
Hello, quick question: I have tried to upload six different images onto the page I'm writing, including trying to upload the image seen in the info box just to check if I could, but all of attempts failed due to "invalid token". What does that mean?
I saw a story where this was done and I want to check if this is the right way to do it before I post anything. If you have a prologue in a multichapter story, do you add it in chapter one, or post it as an article in itself? I've seen prologues as separate pages sometimes on fanfiction.net, but here, would the prologue be considered too small for a blog? I was guessing you probably merge the two, but I wanted to make sure.
I noticed a conversation you were having about the badges and had an idea if it could help. Since a student had to have magical blood in order to get the invite to Hogwarts, "Yer a wizard" could be the badge you get when joining the wiki and then "Welcome to Hogwarts" could be for someone's very first edit?
Those are pretty straightforward, aren't they? Such as no indecent and/or sexually eplict content ect, ect? Not to worry, in that case. All I need is to know the appropiate place to put it, as I'm just creating a character for a HP RPG but have a writer's block and think that creating a "HP wikia style" page for him will help me overcome it. ^^'
Anselmo499: It's pretty straight forward, really. Have you ever visited the HP wikia and seen one of the pages for some of the characters there? I mean to make one for a character I mean to role play on a HP RPG forum, complete with an infobox, biography, physical appearance, magical abilities and skills, ects. The backstory will be inspired from canonical information and events in the franchise and I can gurantee it will contain no inappropiate content of any sort. ^^'
You are to follow the same categories as other articles do. A character is placed in the "Characters" category. A male individual is placed in the "Males" category. A wizard or witch are placed in the "Wizards" category. And so forth.
