Andronicus Potter, 9th Duke of Inverness (1621 - 1636) was a half-blood wizard and Scottish noble who was the son of Constantine Potter and his wife Sophia Stuart. Through his mother, Andronicus was a grandson of King James VI & I of Scotland and England, as well as of his wife Anne of Denmark.
Andronicus would marry Elizabeth Burke at a young age, and the two had a single son, called Zacharias Potter. However, Andronicus would die for unknown reasons at the age of fifteen, leaving his equally young wife to raise their son. His mother, Sophia Stuart, would outlive him by twelve years.
Etymology[]
Latinized form of Greek Ανδρονικος (Andronikos) which meant "victory of a man", from ανηρ (aner) meaning "man" (genitive ανδρος) and νικη (nike) meaning "victory".
